Method for Treatment

Needles

The filiform needle is the main and the most widely used instrument in the treatment of disease in the acupuncture clinic. Needling is deeply working on the whole body so that change can be generated emotionally as well as physically.

Moxibustion

Moxibustion (or Moxa) is a therapeutic method which treats and prevents diseases by applying the stimulation of warmth and heat to the acupuncture points of the body. Moxibustion is very effective for the patients with cold sensation syndrome. All moxibustion techniques are indirect to the skin to avoid the skin burning.

Cupping

Cupping refers to an ancient Oriental practice in which a cup is applied to the skin and the pressure in the cup is reduced by using change in heat or by suctioning out air, so that the skin and superficial muscle layer is drawn into and held in the cup. In our clinic, we mainly apply mobile cupping (gliding the cup while the suction is active). This technique causes a regional pulling of the skin and muscle without making blue or red marks on the skin. This treatment has some relation to certain massage techniques, such as the rapid skin pinching along the back. Suction causes congestion of Qi and Blood in the local area. Pneumatic cups (using alcohol flame to heat inside the glass cup)are used for the greater control over the suction level.

Far-Infrared Massage Bed & Cupping Machine

We are also equipped with physiotherapeutic machines. An automatic massage bed is one of them which is popular to patients with pains on the neck, shoulder, and whole back including vertebrae. It enhances heating capabilities using Far-Infrared rays to provide maximum benefit to the human body; (1) improving blood circulation/ muscle tone/ level of oxygen in the cells/ lymph flow/ enzyme activity/ energy level, (2) reducing swelling & pain/ toxins & lactic acid/ fatty acid in the tissues/ sticky order/ waste products from the cells/ spasms/ cholesterol rate, (3) promoting to produce white blood cell/ regeneration & fast healing, and (4) preventing bacteria growth. Another one is the electric cupping and stimulator for pain relief of muscles (Please refer to Cupping above for more details).

Deep-Tissue Medical Massage (Tuina) & Acupuncture point press

Tuina or Deep-tissue medical massage is a therapeutic approach which is used to treat diseases through massage manipulations or by means of some massage tools applied to certain parts or points on the human body surface. Deep-tissue medical massage & Acupuncture point press are used as treatment tools for relieving pains mainly on the neck/ shoulder/ back to immediately resolve pain. This is also effectively used for the children and patients who are scared of needles. All of the acupuncture points and meridians are used in Tuina. Besides, there are 8 major points applying to everybody to prevent any possible stroke.
